Tentative Reservations:
We “tentatively” hold a reservation for 7 days after your request for space on a particular trip.
Confirmed Reservations: Reservations are “confirmed” upon receipt of a deposit on a 1st come, 1st served basis. Full reservation, deposit, and cancellation information is detailed below.
Deposits to Confirm:
3 Day Trips - $400/person
4 Day Trips - $450/person
5 Day Trips - $550/person
6 Day Trips - $650/person
Final Payments:
Balance is due 60 days prior to launch date of your trip. If final payment is not received when due, we reserve the right to regard the reservation cancelled.
Cancellations:
Should you have to cancel your trip, deposits and final payments are non-refundable, unless we can replace your reservations. No refunds will be made prior to trip completion. Alternate guests are welcome. If we replace your canceled space(s) with other guests, a $150 per person cancellation fee is charged for 3 or 4 Day trips, and $200/person for 5 or 6 Day trips.
Please understand that we cannot insure your investment in river trip reservations. We strongly recommend the purchase of trip cancellation and interruption insurance. Once you sign up, we lose the right to sell your reserved space to other individuals or groups. Our number of trips and spaces per trip are limited by a river management plan. We regret that we cannot make exceptions for personal emergencies.

Cancellation and interruption insurance can include full refund should you cancel due to health, medical, and other reasons. If you cannot afford to forfeit your reservation monies, you should purchase trip cancellation insurance.
Assumption of Risk
You will be required to sign an “assumption of risk agreement” in order to join a trip with Hughes River Expeditions, Inc. We will send this form after you make reservations, or upon your request.
| | | Safety First.
You will be required to wear a life jacket at all times when on the water during a trip with Hughes River Expeditions, Inc. Also, Hughes guides wear life jackets at all times.
Group Size & Number of Craft
Forest Service Management Plan for Hells Canyon provides for a maximum group size of 24 people, including the guide crew, and a maximum of 8 craft per trip, including inflatable kayaks.

Hughes River Expeditions, Inc. operates under an Outfitter/Guide Authorization from Hells Canyon National Recreation Area, Wallowa-Whitman National Forest.
Licenses & Trade Association
Hughes River Expeditions, Inc. is licensed by Idaho Outfitters & Guides Licensing Board, and registered with the Oregon Marine Board. HRE is bonded in accordance with requirements of IOGLB and OMB. We are also a member of the Idaho Outfitter & Guides Association, Inc.
